This page exists to collect tips from the community for tinting visors, as trying to tint them is a pain. * Spray the visor with a small layer of soapy water from a spray bottle that creates a fine mist (minimal big bubbles) before applying the film, this allows one more time to reposition it/retry rather than having it stick immediately and be a pain to work with. (general advice) * when cutting film, one can cut from a template by attaching it with masking tape to the backing of the film and then cutting with a craft knife to get a clean cut (from 3A29) * it is much easier to get the edges right if it disassembles the visor first. no need to take the entire valve assembly apart (it technically needs grease to be reassembled properly) but taking the frame and silicone facepiece off helps greatly. (from clover) * if needed on more complex forms, one can carefully heat the film with a heat gun to get it more stretchy (from Rox)
